Our long-term partner Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) has now launched its latest ultra-compact, next-generation InAs (indium arsenide) compound Hall element, the HQ0A11. Measuring 0.8 x 0.4 x 0.23 mm, HQ0A11 features the smallest and thinnest housing for an InAs-based Hall element.
Its ultra-compact format makes it ideal to contribute to improved performance in small application use cases such as smartphone camera modules, small robots and many more.
The HQ0A11 achieves the highest S/N performance among AKM products by leveraging the characteristics of InAs with a position detection accuracy over 3.5 times higher than that of the HG0C11 GaAs (gallium arsenide) Hall element, previously AKM’s product for camera modules.
The new HQ0A11 can contribute to a significant reduction of the lens-shake effect frequently occurring with smartphone cameras, especially with telephoto lenses.
