BCD Atlantik is an authorized Qualcomm distributor and Snapdragon solution provider for the UK market.
Snapdragon is the name given to an ARM-based SoC (System on a Chip) product family from the world's leading technology group Qualcomm, which is marketed under the name Snapdragon Mobile Platform. The mini processors are mostly manufactured for smartphones, but also for tablets, and have other system components, such as a GPU, WLAN or Bluetooth adapter, etc., in addition to a powerful CPU. Snapdragon processors (SoC's) are installed in many TOP models and are widely used. We are glad to advise you on the selection of the perfect Snapdragon processor for your application - whether from our standard range, modified or custom-developed.

A system-on-a-chip (also system-on-chip, SoC) combines the essential system components on a single chip, so it integrates different circuit parts. Although the designs are slightly different for each developer, the most important components of single-chip systems are always the main processor, graphics processor, memory and modem. An SoC thus represents the basis of the device hardware. The reason for the development of such chipsets is that in wearables, for example, there is naturally much less space available for the system components. The main advantage of Snapdragon chips is their versatility. The higher the chipset number, the more power it has. The Snapdragon models are considered very energy-efficient compared with other SoCs, so devices equipped with a Snapdragon chipset have a very long battery life. Snapdragon processors are predominantly installed in Android devices. These chipsets are also found in consumer electronics and embedded systems for the automotive industry: for processing data and signals or for control, monitoring and regulation tasks.
