The mini processors are mostly manufactured for smartphones, but also for tablets, and have other system components, such as a GPU, WLAN or Bluetooth adapter, etc., in addition to a powerful CPU. Snapdragon processors as system on chips

A system-on-a-chip (also system-on-chip, SoC) combines the essential system components on a single chip, so it integrates different circuit parts. Although the designs are slightly different for each developer, the most important components of single-chip systems are always the main processor, graphics processor, memory and modem. An SoC thus represents the basis of the device hardware. The reason for the development of such chipsets is that in wearables, for example, there is naturally much less space available for the system components. The main advantage of Snapdragon chips is their versatility. The higher the chipset number, the more power it has. The Snapdragon models are considered very energy-efficient compared with other SoCs, so devices equipped with a Snapdragon chipset have a very long battery life. Snapdragon processors are predominantly installed in Android devices. These chipsets are also found in consumer electronics and embedded systems for the automotive industry: for processing data and signals or for control, monitoring and regulation tasks.

The TurboX C4290 System on Module is designed based on the Qualcomm® QCM4290/QCS4290 platform. Equipped with a powerful Adreno 702 GPU, the module also supports a dual image signal processor (ISP). This ISP enables up to 25 MP or 13 MP+13 MP dual cameras to work simultaneously and supports 1080p@30fps video codec capability.

TurboX CT6490 Development Kit

The Turbox™ CT6490 development kit for the Thundercomm TurboX CT6490 SOM supports multiple 5G sub-6GHz bands and is backward compatible with 4G/LTE networks. It supports Android 11 and Android 12. The TurboX CT6490 SOM is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G SoC QCM6490 and supports video 4K60 fps decoding/4K30 fps encoding, five 4-lane MIPI DSI and a variety of peripheral interfaces GPIO/UART/I2C/I3C/SPI/USB 3.1.
